STATUS_DEVICE_DOOR_OPEN
The removable-storage device or library door is open
An open door can make slots, magazines, transports, and drives unsafe or inaccessible. Libraries may invalidate element inventory when an operator opens the enclosure, and some devices require all drives to be empty before door access.
Close and secure the door, then refresh element status rather than assuming the previous inventory remains correct. If the door sensor remains asserted, inspect the latch, magazine seating, interlock, and hardware event log. Do not command the robotic transport while operator access is possible.
What to inspect
- Record door or IE-port identity and the operation that detected the state.
- Close the enclosure and wait for inventory or initialization to finish.
- Re-read slot, drive, and magazine status before moving media.
