FSRM_E_ADR_SRV_NOT_SUPPORTED

FSRM_E_ADR_SRV_NOT_SUPPORTED means the client or management workflow contacted a file server that cannot provide the ADR capability required for customized messages or access-request processing. The share can still return a normal access-denied result.

Confirm the actual file-server endpoint

  • Identify the SMB server that owns the share, including the active DFS namespace target.
  • Verify the Windows Server version, FSRM role configuration, and ADR policy on that endpoint.
  • Test directly against the server share before diagnosing the client UI.

Configuring FSRM on a management server or another DFS target does not add ADR support to the server handling the failed access. In mixed-version or third-party storage environments, provide a conventional support message or move the data to a supported file server if the ADR workflow is required.
