CERTSRV_E_BAD_REQUESTSTATUS The requested operation is not valid for the request’s current CA database state, such as attempting to issue, deny, renew, or retrieve a request at the wrong point in its lifecycle.
What to check
- Inspect the request in the Certification Authority console and establish whether it is pending, issued, denied, failed, or already archived.
- Review the request history before resubmitting it; retries can create a second request rather than advance the first one.
- If approval is required, use the certificate manager workflow that applies to the request’s current state.
