WU_E_PT_ENDPOINT_UNREACHABLE

WU_E_PT_ENDPOINT_UNREACHABLE indicates that there was no usable route or network connectivity to the service endpoint. It does not by itself distinguish DNS, proxy, firewall, or a server outage.

How to investigate

Determine the configured update endpoint first; in managed environments this can be an intranet WSUS server rather than the public Windows Update service.
Check name resolution, routing, firewall policy, and the system WinHTTP proxy for that exact endpoint.
Capture the nearby Windows Update log entries: a more specific nested WinHTTP or HTTP status often identifies the failing layer.
