WU_E_REDIRECTOR_LOAD_XML is generated by the Windows Update redirector path when the component that downloads and parses Wuredir.cab cannot load the contained XML into its XML parser.

Check WindowsUpdate.log for the URL, HTTP result, and any earlier proxy or certificate error.
Verify that a proxy, cache, reverse proxy, or security gateway did not return an HTML error page or alter the response.
If only one client fails, compare its network path and policy with a working client before changing update caches.
