WU_E_METADATA_NO_VERIFICATION_DATA
WU_E_METADATA_NO_VERIFICATION_DATA means the client did not find the expected verification information in update metadata. Microsoft notes that this can occur when verification data is disabled on the update server.
What to verify
- For Microsoft-hosted updates, treat the problem as a configuration or communication anomaly and inspect the preceding metadata exchange.
- For WSUS or a third-party catalog, review the server publishing and metadata-signing configuration.
- Check that clients trust the signing certificate and that relevant intranet signed-content policy is configured when private catalogs are used.
