WU_E_SETUP_ALREADY_INITIALIZED

WU_E_SETUP_ALREADY_INITIALIZED means the Windows Update Agent setup routine reached initialization twice when it should have initialized only once. It can follow a concurrent or interrupted setup attempt.

What to check

Make sure another Windows Setup, repair, or Windows Update Agent operation is not running.
Reboot if an earlier servicing or setup transaction ended abnormally.
Use the log timeline to find the first setup invocation, not only the later duplicate-initialization message.
