FVE_E_FAILED_SECTOR_SIZE
FVE_E_FAILED_SECTOR_SIZE means the chosen encryption configuration is not compatible with the logical or physical sector size reported by the drive. It is a storage-compatibility error, not a key-protector failure.
What to verify
- Collect the drive model, controller, firmware, logical sector size, and physical sector size.
- Check whether the selected BitLocker encryption method is supported on that storage configuration.
- Do not change the encryption method on a volume already in conversion without checking its current state and recovery options.
