RTC_E_STATUS_SERVER_INTERNAL_ERROR

RTC_E_STATUS_SERVER_INTERNAL_ERROR (0x80EF01F4) means that the RTC Client API received a server internal error result for the SIP transaction. The status comes from the server side of the RTC/SIP exchange; it is not a generic statement that the local RTC COM API is internally damaged.

What to preserve

  • The SIP method and request URI that produced the failure.
  • The responding proxy, registrar, or other RTC server and the transaction identifiers needed to correlate its logs.
  • The complete response, including any diagnostic headers, and the immediately preceding authentication or routing responses.

How to investigate

Check the server logs for the same SIP transaction and determine which server-side operation failed. Reproduce with the same account and request while changing only the suspected server-side condition. If another status such as service unavailable, timeout, or bad gateway is returned, diagnose that result separately instead of treating every 5xx response as this HRESULT.

Recovery

Correct the server-side configuration, dependency, account state, or application failure identified by the correlated server record, then repeat the original RTC operation. A client retry without any server-side state change may simply reproduce the same failure.
