STATUS_LOGON_SERVER_CONFLICT

The domain has conflicting logon-server role advertisements

Netlogon advertises domain-controller capabilities and maintains secure domain relationships. A conflict can arise when a server is configured for a role inconsistent with the domain, or when stale and duplicate domain-controller state causes more than one machine to claim an incompatible role.

Restarting Netlogon may temporarily refresh advertisements but does not correct duplicate machine identities, DNS records, metadata, or role configuration. Establish which server is authoritative before removing records.

What to inspect

Compare machine account names, server roles, invocation identifiers, and advertised SRV records.
Review Netlogon and directory-service events on every server involved.
Clean stale controller metadata and DNS only through supported domain-controller procedures.
