STATUS_TRUSTED_RELATIONSHIP_FAILURE

STATUS_TRUSTED_RELATIONSHIP_FAILURE is NTSTATUS 0xC000018D. Microsoft defines it as failure of the trust relationship between a workstation and its primary domain during logon. In a domain member, Netlogon maintains a secure channel to a domain controller and the computer account password participates in authenticating that machine relationship.

Test the secure channel before removing the computer from the domain

Microsoft provides Test-ComputerSecureChannel to verify the channel between a local computer and its domain; the -Repair option can attempt repair. Reset-ComputerMachinePassword changes the computer account password used to authenticate to domain controllers. These targeted checks preserve more diagnostic evidence than immediately performing a domain disjoin and rejoin.

Record which domain controller was contacted and check computer-account state, machine-password synchronization, DNS/DC discovery, and Active Directory replication.
