STATUS_CORRUPT_LOG_UPLEVEL_RECORDS

The corruption log contains records from a newer Windows version

The current system cannot safely interpret one of the volume corruption logs because it was written by a newer Windows version. Windows resets the log to the current format and updates the volume health state.

Resetting the log discards incompatible tracking records, so a fresh scan is important if the volume might still contain unresolved corruption. This can appear after moving storage between hosts or booting the same volume with different Windows versions.

What to inspect

  • Record the Windows builds that last mounted the volume.
  • Avoid alternating the volume between incompatible operating-system versions.
  • Run a current supported scan after the log reset.
