NS_E_NET_READ
What NS_E_NET_READ means
NS_E_NET_READ (0xC00D0015) means Windows Media Services failed while reading data from the network.
Evidence to preserve
Capture the peer endpoint, selected protocol, last successful read, requested byte count, bytes received, and the first socket or transport error.
Interpretation
A network read failure occurs after a connection path exists. It is different from DNS or connect failure and may represent reset, timeout, truncation, or an intermediary closing the stream.
Recovery and verification
Correct the lower-level transport condition and repeat the same read path. If the request advances to parsing or media handling, treat any later HRESULT as a separate stage.
