NS_E_NETWORK_RESOURCE_FAILURE
What NS_E_NETWORK_RESOURCE_FAILURE means
NS_E_NETWORK_RESOURCE_FAILURE (0xC00D0028) means Windows Media Services failed while acquiring a network resource needed for the operation.
Evidence to preserve
Capture the resource name or endpoint, access identity, selected protocol, resolution result, and the first system or provider error returned while acquiring it.
Interpretation
The missing resource may be a share, remote object, server path, or other network dependency; the HRESULT alone does not justify treating every failure as Internet connectivity.
Recovery and verification
Restore access to the identified resource under the same service identity and verify that acquisition succeeds before continuing the dependent media operation.
