Measure the correct storage location
Record the transcode-cache path, current cache size, configured limit, filesystem free space, and the size of the pending conversion. Distinguish an application cache quota from an actually full disk.
Fix and verify
Remove safe stale cache entries or increase the supported cache limit, then retry the same conversion. Keep the device unchanged. If conversion proceeds but writing to the device later fails for capacity reasons, that target-storage error should be recorded separately.
