Diagnose the move itself

• Record temporary and final paths, their volumes, file sizes, and whether the destination already exists.
• Capture the sharing/locking state of both files and the first underlying move or rename error.
• Check overwrite policy, destination ACLs, free space, and whether an antivirus or indexing process has the destination open.

Retest without redownloading

If the temporary file is intact, reproduce the final move under the same account before discarding it. A cross-volume move, locked destination, or denied overwrite can reproduce this result even when every downloaded byte is correct. Once the move succeeds, verify the Player sees the final file rather than simply reporting job completion.
