MF_E_INVALIDREQUEST
MF_E_INVALIDREQUEST is a state-machine result. The arguments can be valid while the operation is still disallowed because playback, seeking, negotiation, or another asynchronous command is in a different state.
What to record
- Log the interface method, object state, pending operation, requested rate or position, and the last Media Foundation event.
- Do not retry the same call immediately without a state change.
- For a media session, serialize commands or intentionally coalesce a newer command while one is pending.
The useful fix is to follow the permitted transition for that object, not to treat this as a generic transport or file error.
