MF_E_CLOCK_NO_TIME_SOURCE means the presentation clock object exists, but it has no presentation time source. The time source supplies the clock's current time and participates in clock state transitions through IMFClockStateSink.

Set the time source before starting or attaching the clock

• Call IMFPresentationClock::SetTimeSource with an initialized IMFPresentationTimeSource.
• Only then start the clock or pass it to a media sink with SetPresentationClock.
• During custom-pipeline teardown or clock replacement, check that a new clock is not exposed before its time source is configured.

IMFPresentationClock::Start and GetTime can return this HRESULT, and a sink can also reject a presentation clock without a time source. This is distinct from MF_E_NO_CLOCK, where no relevant clock is available at all.
