STATUS_FVE_KEYFILE_NOT_FOUND
What this BitLocker status means
BitLocker expected external key material but could not read it from the selected media. This differs from STATUS_FVE_KEYFILE_INVALID, where a file was reached but was malformed or not acceptable as the expected protector material.
State to verify
Verify the intended removable device, its visibility in the current boot or recovery environment, and the correct file location. A changed drive letter, missing USB device, or inaccessible media can all produce a not-found outcome without implying that the encrypted volume is damaged.
Recovery and confirmation
Use recovery material that belongs to this exact volume if the startup key cannot be obtained. Do not substitute arbitrary files from another computer; protectors are associated with the volume they unlock.
