STATUS_FVE_CONV_RECOVERY_FAILED
This is a recovery-stage failure after an interrupted conversion, not a single source-read or destination-write error during normal conversion. The conversion logs or the medium’s writable state can prevent BitLocker from completing the rollback or continuation path.
Preserve the volume, recovery information, BitLocker status, and storage error context. Check whether the medium is write-protected and whether the underlying storage path is reliable before attempting further conversion or management operations.
Avoid reinitializing the disk, deleting BitLocker metadata, or repeatedly forcing conversion commands while recovery state is unresolved. The useful distinction is between this post-abort recovery failure and STATUS_FVE_CONV_READ_ERROR or STATUS_FVE_CONV_WRITE_ERROR during an active pass.
