Two configurations claim the same pack identity
The conflict is at the disk-group or pack level, not merely a duplicate volume label. It can arise when cloned, restored, or separately attached copies of a dynamic-disk group are visible at the same time.
Isolate copies before making a pack online
Record every disk reporting the pack identifier, its physical origin, and whether it belongs to a snapshot, backup restore, or another host. Avoid bringing competing copies online together. The useful next step is to identify the authoritative group and use supported foreign-disk or migration workflows for the other copy.
