E_IMAPI_DF2RAW_STREAM_LEADIN_TOO_SHORT
E_IMAPI_DF2RAW_STREAM_LEADIN_TOO_SHORT is a specific DAO layout failure returned by WriteMedia. The raw stream does not contain enough sectors in its lead-in for the medium currently being written. It is therefore more precise than a generic unsupported-stream error.
Measure the image lead-in against the prepared media
- Record the raw-image producer and the starting address selected by
WriteMediaorWriteMedia2. - Verify that the stream was created for the same session/media assumptions used during preparation.
- Do not remove leading sectors merely to reduce file size; the reported problem is already insufficient lead-in.
A retry with the identical stream and medium cannot lengthen the lead-in. Rebuild the raw image or correct the producer configuration. This error is also distinct from E_IMAPI_DF2RAW_NOT_ENOUGH_SPACE: one concerns the required beginning of the DAO stream, while the other concerns whether the complete session fits before lead-out.
