WSA_QOS_NO_SENDERS
Loss of all PATH state removes the basis for a receiver reservation
WSA_QOS_NO_SENDERS reports that no RSVP senders remain for the monitored session. This can follow PATH teardown, expiration of RSVP soft state, a routing change, sender shutdown, or removal of the last multicast source. It is not equivalent to a temporary absence of application data on an otherwise valid path.
Correlate the event with RSVP refresh timers and any preceding path-error or teardown status. A receiver should stop presenting the reservation as active for a known sender, but it may keep application-level session state while waiting for a new PATH. Reissuing the same reservation without sender path state will not restore the route; first determine whether the sender stopped signaling, the RSVP-capable path disappeared, or the receiver is monitoring the wrong interface or session tuple.
Checks after the last sender disappears
- Last PATH refresh and expiration time.
- Sender or route-change notification immediately before the event.
- Multicast membership and selected local interface.
- Whether application traffic continues without RSVP signaling.
