The destination handle context is not valid

ERROR_INVALID_TARGET_HANDLE means an operation involving a target process or destination handle cannot use the value supplied. The target may have exited, the handle may lack required rights, or the caller may be using a stale value.

Checks

Verify the target process is still alive.
Confirm required rights such as handle-duplication access.
Review ownership and close order across threads.
Log source and target handle values with process identifiers.

Handling

Reopen the target object under a valid lifetime contract. Retrying with the same stale handle is not useful.
