ERROR_SXS_XML_E_MISSINGWHITESPACE (0x000036D5) is a Windows Side-by-Side XML parser status for application, assembly, policy, or configuration manifest processing.

XML sometimes requires separator whitespace rather than merely permitting it. Adjacent names, pseudo-attributes, or declaration tokens can otherwise merge into one lexical token and become ambiguous to the parser.

Parser boundary

The XML specification uses the S production in grammar positions where one or more whitespace characters are required. This error is therefore different from unexpected whitespace, which reports whitespace where a production does not allow it.
