ippStsUnknownCacheSize
This is a performance-tuning warning rather than a data-path failure. IPP may still execute the primitive, but cache-size-dependent blocking, threading, or dispatch heuristics cannot use precise cache information.
It can appear on unusual processors, virtual machines, or environments where CPUID cache reporting is incomplete.
Diagnostic focus
- Record CPU model, CPUID leaves exposed to the process, and virtualization layer.
- Treat output correctness separately from cache-tuning quality.
- Compare performance with a native run if the warning appears only in a VM or container.
