ERROR_CLUSTER_LOCAL_NODE_NOT_FOUND

This code is commonly returned when an operation assumes that the computer running it is a member of the cluster, but the local membership record cannot be found. It can occur after eviction, incomplete cleanup, or when a command is run on the wrong server.

What to check

  • Confirm which server is executing the command and whether it is listed as a member of the intended cluster.
  • Check the Cluster service state and its event log on the local computer before trying to rejoin it.
  • If the node was evicted, follow the normal add-node workflow rather than restoring cluster registry data manually.
