ERROR_CLUSTER_INCOMPATIBLE_VERSIONS
The node cannot join because the Windows versions or cluster feature levels are not supported together. This is not fixed by retrying the join; the node and cluster must meet the documented upgrade and compatibility requirements.
What to check
- Compare Windows Server versions, servicing levels, and installed clustering components on every node.
- Run validation before attempting the join again.
- Use a supported upgrade sequence when moving a cluster to a newer server version.
