ERROR_CTX_SERVICE_NAME_COLLISION means Remote Desktop Services attempted to create or register a service name that is already owned by another service entry. This normally appears during setup, repair, or a custom listener/service deployment.
What to check
- Identify the existing service and determine whether it belongs to an old installation, another product, or the current RDS role.
- Check the installation and System logs for the component that attempted the registration.
- Do not delete service registry entries blindly; remove or repair the conflicting product through its supported installer.
