FSRM_S_PARTIAL_BATCH is a success-with-warning result for an FSRM batch operation. The caller received usable results for at least part of the batch, but individual files, folders, properties, or rules did not all complete successfully.
Inspect the batch at item level
- Keep the per-item HRESULT and path instead of reporting only the aggregate status.
- Separate access, file-state, module, and property-definition failures before retrying.
- Retry only transient failures; do not repeat successful property writes or actions blindly.
This status is not equivalent to a transaction rollback. FSRM classification and property operations can involve several storage or classifier modules, so useful work may already be committed. Review the classification report and application event log, then reconcile the resulting property values with the requested batch. A blanket retry can duplicate custom actions or hide a consistently unsupported file type.
