WU_S_METADATA_IGNORED_SIGNATURE_VERIFICATION
WU_S_METADATA_IGNORED_SIGNATURE_VERIFICATION is an informational success code. A refreshed server configuration caused the client to ignore metadata signature verification for that operation.
What to do with this status
- Treat it as a configuration signal, not as confirmation that the metadata is trusted.
- Compare the update-service configuration and policies between devices that show different verification behavior.
- For a managed service, document why the exception exists and whether it remains appropriate.
