A redirected client drive channel connected
This informational status belongs to the Terminal Services / Remote Desktop Services path. Client Drive Mapping is implemented through RDP device redirection rather than by mounting a normal local disk on the server.
The useful diagnostic question is whether the RDPDR/RDPEFS virtual channel negotiated successfully and whether policy allows the redirected drive class. Treat it as a session redirection event, not as evidence that the server gained direct block-device access to the client disk.
What to inspect
- Check the RDP client redirection settings and server Group Policy for drive redirection.
- Confirm that the RDPDR static virtual channel is present in the connection.
- Correlate the event with logon timing and with any application that opens files from redirected drives.
