STATUS_ALREADY_DISCONNECTED
The connection has already completed its disconnect transition
The requested disconnect targeted a connection that is no longer attached to the remote peer. This commonly reflects duplicate cleanup, a race between local cancellation and remote closure, or a retry after an earlier disconnect already succeeded.
Treat the result as a state-machine signal rather than proof of a new network fault. The useful evidence is the first transition that changed the connection state. Reissuing close operations without serialization can obscure the original error and can cause upper layers to release the same context twice.
What to inspect
- Trace the first local or remote event that marked the connection disconnected.
- Make disconnect and cleanup paths idempotent.
- Do not reuse the old endpoint until the transport contract explicitly permits it.
