RPC_E_SERVER_CANTMARSHAL_DATA means that the server could not serialize a method result or an out parameter for delivery to the client. The underlying method can have already performed its work before the response marshaling failed.
Server-side checks
- Validate result pointers, array counts, and ownership rules before returning from the COM method.
- Check proxy-stub registration and custom marshaling for every returned interface or structure.
- Avoid returning raw apartment-bound interface pointers to callers in another apartment.
