VDS_E_GPT_ATTRIBUTES_INVALID

GPT partition attributes are a 64-bit field associated with a GPT partition entry. VDS exposes them through VDS_PARTITION_INFO_GPT and changes selected attributes through IVdsAdvancedDisk::ChangeAttributes. This HRESULT means the attribute request itself failed validation; it is not evidence that the GPT header CRC is corrupt.

Why this state matters

Log the complete attribute mask in hexadecimal and the partition type GUID. Some attribute bits are platform-defined while others are partition-type-specific, so interpreting a bit without its type GUID is unsafe. Compare the requested state with the current attributes before retrying and avoid replacing the whole mask from a hard-coded constant when only one supported attribute needs to change.
