VDS_E_INVALID_QUERY_PROVIDER_FLAG
VDS_E_INVALID_QUERY_PROVIDER_FLAG means the mask passed to IVdsService::QueryProviders is not a valid combination of VDS_QUERY_PROVIDER_FLAG values. Query flags select provider categories; they are not provider type enum values or provider property flags.
Build the provider filter from the correct enumeration
- Decode every bit in the query mask before the call.
- Request only documented software, hardware or virtual-disk provider categories.
- Handle future provider types in returned data without sending unknown query bits.
Masking all unknown bits silently can conceal configuration and SDK-version errors. Report the numeric mask and symbolic values. If the application wants all supported providers, use the documented combination rather than passing an arbitrary all-bits-set value.
