This is a provider/path-structure validation error. VDS path information is a tagged layout: the hardware-provider type determines which union members describe the endpoints. For a non-iSCSI hardware path, VDS_PATH_INFO can identify a controller port and HBA port and include a pointer to VDS_HBAPORT_PROP.
