FSRM_E_MAX_PROPERTY_DEFINITIONS
FSRM_E_MAX_PROPERTY_DEFINITIONS means the FSRM configuration already contains the maximum number of property definitions accepted by that server, so another definition cannot be committed.
Reduce schema duplication
- Enumerate local, global, deprecated, and unused property definitions.
- Find properties that duplicate purpose under slightly different names or value lists.
- Remove a definition only after checking rules, file-management conditions, reports, and stored values that reference it.
This limit concerns the classification schema, not the number of files carrying properties. Creating more rules or clearing per-file metadata will not make room. In domain-integrated deployments, also determine whether definitions are synchronized from Active Directory; deleting a local copy can be temporary if synchronization recreates it. Consolidate the schema and document ownership before adding the replacement definition.
