FSRM_E_TEXTREADER_STREAM_ERROR
FSRM_E_TEXTREADER_STREAM_ERROR reports a stream-level failure after FSRM selected the file for content classification. The problem can occur before the IFilter receives content or while the filter reads, seeks, or reopens the stream.
Test the exact stream access path
- Check sharing violations, remote or offline file state, sparse/cloud hydration, encryption, and file replacement races.
- Verify that the module is authorized for content and that its requested access mode matches the operation.
- Correlate the FSRM event with filter-host or storage-module errors for the same file.
A file that opens in an application is not necessarily readable through the stream interface and service identity used by FSRM. Copying the file to a local test directory can distinguish content corruption from namespace or access problems, but do not classify the copy as proof that metadata was written to the original.
