FSRM_E_MODULE_INITIALIZATION
FSRM_E_MODULE_INITIALIZATION means FSRM could not complete the module-level initialization required before files are processed. This stage includes loading the configured COM implementation and calling the module initialization contract; no per-file classification result should be expected.
Diagnose module loading first
- Verify the module CLSID, registration, architecture, executable or DLL path, and configured hosting account.
- Check that dependencies and vendor runtime files are installed for the service-hosting environment.
- Review the application log for the module identity and the failure returned from its load callback.
Changing classification scopes or file extensions will not fix a module that cannot load. The problem is also distinct from session initialization, which happens after the module is available for a classification run. If several rules use the same module, disable them temporarily, repair the module registration, and test a single rule before restoring the full policy.
