FSRM_E_PROPERTY_MUST_BE_GLOBAL
FSRM_E_PROPERTY_MUST_BE_GLOBAL means a feature expects a property definition shared through the domain resource-property schema, but the configured property exists only as a local FSRM definition. Local and global properties are not interchangeable even when their display names match.
Promote the policy through the directory schema
- Create or enable the resource property in Active Directory Dynamic Access Control.
- Synchronize property definitions to the file server and verify the resulting identity and value type.
- Update rules and jobs to reference the synchronized global definition.
Duplicating the name locally does not provide domain-wide identity or claim integration. The documented automatic-classification workflow enables resource properties in Active Directory and then runs property-definition synchronization on the file server. Follow that sequence, test on a controlled share, and retire the local duplicate only after all consumers use the global property.
