FSRM_E_ADR_PATH_IS_LOCAL
FSRM_E_ADR_PATH_IS_LOCAL means ADR was requested for a local filesystem path. Access-Denied Assistance is designed for users receiving access-denied responses while accessing shared files and folders on a file server, not for local interactive access.
Reproduce the supported access path
- Test through the SMB share or DFS path from a separate client rather than using a local drive path.
- Confirm that the remote request reaches the intended file server and share.
- Use ordinary NTFS security diagnostics for failures that occur only during local access.
A local administrator opening the same file does not exercise the client/server assistance protocol or the customized remote message. Validate ADR from a supported client identity that lacks access to the share, and keep local permission troubleshooting separate from email request and remediation configuration.
