FSRM_E_MODULE_TIMEOUT
FSRM_E_MODULE_TIMEOUT indicates that a classifier or storage module exceeded the allowed processing time for an individual file and was restarted. It identifies module execution, not the total duration of the overall classification run.
Preserve the file and module context
- Record the module name, file path, size, format, and rule parameters from the event log.
- Test whether the delay is reproducible with one file and whether the file is malformed or unusually large.
- Check module-host CPU, memory, dependent services, and vendor-specific timeout guidance.
A restart can discard module session state and affect later files in the same run. Excluding one problematic file may restore throughput, but only after confirming that the module handles ordinary files correctly. Do not continuously raise timeouts for a hung parser; update or isolate the module and retain the sample file for the module vendor.
