NTE_KEYSET_NOT_DEF
NTE_KEYSET_NOT_DEF means that the requested key container is not defined for the selected provider and account scope. This may be normal for first-time provisioning, but it is an error when the application expects an existing private key.
What to do
- Confirm the container name, provider, user or machine scope, and service-account profile used by the application.
- Create a container only when the workflow is intentionally provisioning a new key; otherwise investigate why the expected key is absent.
- For certificate scenarios, verify the certificate-to-private-key association instead of creating an unrelated replacement key.
