CERTSRV_E_SUBJECT_DNS_REQUIRED The template requires a DNS name in the Subject Alternative Name, but the CA cannot obtain an appropriate DNS value for the subject.
What to check
- Verify the target computer account and its DNS-related directory attributes, plus DNS registration and replication.
- Confirm whether the template derives the SAN from Active Directory or requires the requester to supply it.
- Do not put an arbitrary DNS name into a request; the name must represent a service identity that the requester is authorized to claim.
