TRUST_E_TIME_STAMP
TRUST_E_TIME_STAMP means that validation of a countersignature or RFC 3161-style timestamp failed. The primary code signature can be present while the timestamp evidence cannot be trusted.
Check timestamp evidence separately
- Inspect the primary signer and the timestamp signer as separate certificate chains.
- Verify that the timestamp data, signer certificate, and any required intermediates are available to the verification context.
- Record the verification time and policy, because timestamp handling can affect whether an expired signer certificate is acceptable for a historical signature.
Do not assume that a valid primary signature automatically proves that its timestamp is valid.
