SPAPI_E_BAD_SECTION_NAME_LINE means that a purported INF section header is incomplete, malformed, or shares a line with other content. The parser cannot establish the section boundary, so later directive references cannot be resolved reliably.
What to check
- Ensure the header begins with an opening bracket, ends with a closing bracket, and occupies its own logical line.
- Check for accidental invisible characters, comment text, or a line continuation around the section name.
- Validate decorated section names separately when the INF targets multiple architectures or Windows versions.
