SPAPI_E_NO_ASSOCIATED_SERVICE
SPAPI_E_NO_ASSOCIATED_SERVICE means that SetupAPI could not find a driver service associated with the selected device information element. The association is normally established through the driver INF service-install path, so a device can exist in the information set while no usable service has been configured for it.
What to check
- Verify that the selected model reaches the intended
DDInstall.Servicessection. - Check the
AddServicedirective, its service name, and the referenced service-install section. - Use
SetupAPI.dev.logto confirm whether service installation was skipped, rejected, or targeted at a different device.
