SCARD_E_CANCELLED
SCARD_E_CANCELLED The pending PC/SC operation was deliberately cancelled through SCardCancel in the same resource-manager context. It is normally an expected result of controlled shutdown or of stopping a wait for card insertion or removal.
What to check
- Identify the thread or component that called
SCardCancel; the function terminates outstanding waiting operations in its context. - Treat the result as cancellation, not as a card or reader failure. Release or recreate the context only when the application is actually stopping.
- Keep a separate context for independent long-running waits when one subsystem must not cancel another subsystem's card monitoring.
