HTTP_E_STATUS_BAD_METHOD
HTTP_E_STATUS_BAD_METHOD maps to HTTP 405 Method Not Allowed. The target resource exists, but the request method is not supported for that resource.
What to check
- Inspect the
Allowresponse header; an origin server generating 405 must list the target resource methods it currently supports. - Verify the route and HTTP method selected by the client, including method overrides added by frameworks or proxies.
- Distinguish 405 from 501: 405 concerns a known method that is not allowed for this resource; 501 concerns missing server capability.
